So the five inches of snow that we got yesterday mostly melted this afternoon while I was taking a nap. It was a little disorienting, to awake to such a dramatic shift in the landscape in such a brief span of time! The fields around our home are now a patchwork of snow and mud; it occurred to me that I should paint this local tree as it seems so much more interesting in late winter, stark against the windy sky.
